Patty Hart, E-RYT, Owner, Instructor, Every Body Happy Yoga and Healing Center, Ann Arbor, MI

Through her teaching and personal practice, Patty has explored the feeling relationships which naturally express through one's body-mind with yoga. These include the relationships of: conscious breath and movement, physical discomfort and energetic blockages, and building feeling connections between agonist/antagonist muscle groups.

Nurturing these relationships for health and healing has kept Patty excited about teaching yoga for more than 10 years - initially in New Jersey in corporate, private, and studio settings and currently in Southeast Michigan, opening Every Body Happy Yoga and Healing Center in Dexter, Michigan in the Fall of 2007.

In January, 2010, Every Body Happy Yoga and Healing Center became part of the new Aprill Wellness Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Patty is delighted to be affiliated with the extraordinary holistic healing practitioners of AWC. Please visit www.Aprillwellnesscenter.com to learn more about them.

Patty trained with Dr. Jeff Migdow, MD and is certified at the 200 hr. level in Prana Yoga, a traditional Hatha yoga style emphasizing breath work, and a deeper feeling understanding of chakra energy in the body. She also has trained with several Iyengar based teachers including Judith Lasater, Bobbi Goldin, and Kevin Gardiner and appreciates the awareness to bodily alignment that the Iyengar tradition embodies. In her teaching career she has logged over 5000 teaching hours and is acknowledged as an “experienced” registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT). In addition to teaching and managing the EBH studio, she is pursuing her 500 hr. certification at Yoga on High in Columbus, Ohio.

Patty's approach to teaching yoga is highly adaptive, playful, creative and continually evolving. Her desire is to create a safe space for students, that allows the organic deepening of bodily feeling relationships to emerge. She is grateful for the gift of her spiritual teachers, Brenda Morgan and Michael Silverman and their continual guidance and support.
